Compare the full rental cost

Compare quotations for the same dates, collection times and type of product. A daily or monthly headline rate may exclude delivery, taxes, accessories or cleaning. Ask the provider to identify every mandatory charge before deciding which option costs less.

Keep a refundable security deposit separate from the rental price. Find out whether it is charged or placed on hold, which payment cards are accepted and what determines its release. A deposit affects the funds you need available even when it is not ultimately a cost.

For an international booking, confirm whether the charge is in USD, CAD or GBP. Your card provider may apply its own currency conversion or transaction fees. Save the final quotation and check it against the booking confirmation.
