Make collection and return straightforward

Check the collection address, opening hours and documents you need before travelling. A booking time does not necessarily cover an out-of-hours handover. Allow time for fitting, instruction or inspection when renting equipment that needs to be adjusted or explained.

Inspect the item with the provider and record existing damage on the handover form. Take clear photographs where appropriate, including supplied accessories and relevant fuel, charge or mileage readings. Ask the provider to acknowledge anything missing or different from the booking.

Return the item to the agreed location and in the required condition. Obtain confirmation of the return and keep it until the final charges and deposit have been settled. For unattended returns, follow the provider's documented procedure and retain evidence of the time and condition.
